Stainless steel bars can be used in a variety of applications where
there is a requirement for both structural and/or an architectural feature e.g. a planar
glazing system. The stunning effect of stainless steel bars can enhance glazed structures,
roof trusses and cross-bracing. They can also be used in areas where more rigidity might
be appropriate such as uplift on entrance canopies etc. The quality polished tendons are
cost effective and durable because they are ready for installation and require no
painting.
Bar
System GC446. Threaded bar fixed length system
(for lengths less than 3.2m)
Simple fixed length
system. Use is limited to lengths of under 3.2m. For longer lengths full strength couplers
can be supplied.
Bar
System GC465. L/H & R/H Standard threaded bar system
Simple adjustable
tension rod system. The bar is threaded with opposite threads at either end. The threaded
ends are screwed into forks with mating threads. The system is tensioned by rotating the
bar using the machined spanner flats provided.
Bar
System GC465/4. Standard threaded bar with couplers
(for lengths greater than 3.2m)
Adjustable tension
bar system for greater than 3.2m. stainless steel couplers provide full strength
connections allowing tie bar lengths greater than 3.2m to be assembled. Generally one
coupler is provided every 3.2m of bar.
The new Adjustable Tube
Strut is designed to take the tension loads of canopies in the accepted and
conventional way.
In addition to the tension involved, the stainless steel Adjustable Canopy
Tube Strut will counteract most of the high wind uplift that can be
experienced in many area where exposed canopies can be at risk.
All Tube Struts are considered to be individual according to architects
requirements and are therefore custom made to suit a particular project.
