Stainless steel cable systems are suitable on projects where a more
slender look is required combining high strength without the intrusion of heavy steelwork.
The architect has the flexibility of using an infinite length of cable where long tendons
may be appropriate. The reflection of light off the wire and the highly polished
components can complement the surrounding areas. The high quality tendons are cost
effective and durable because they are ready for installation and require no painting.
Cable System
GC322
Swaged eye fixed length
Simple fixed length eye system.
Smaller diameter eyes are forged whilst larger diameter eyes are machined from stainless
steel and supplied with a polished finish. Exact pin to pin dimensions must be specified.
Cable System
GC241
Swaged fork fixed length
Standard fork length systems.
Stainless steel standard fork ends are supplied with a polished finish. Exact pin to pin
dimensions must be specified.
Cable System
GC224
RH M8 Swaged Stud at both ends
Economical adjustment system.
Stainless steel cables are terminated by a stainless steel swaged stud, with a right hand
M8 thread at both ends. The cable is tensioned by simultaneous
rotation at both ends into suitable anchorages.
Cable System
GC201/0
Swaged Stud at both ends
Economical adjustment system.
Stainless steel cables are terminated by a stainless steel swaged stud, one with a left
hand thread and the other with a right hand thread. The cable is tensioned by simultaneous
rotation at both ends into suitable anchorages.
Cable System
GC265/4
Swaged Stud & adjustable fork at both ends
Standard adjustment length
tendon. The cable is terminated at either end with opposite threaded stainless steel
swaged stud (as system GC201/0 above). The swaged stud are screwed into architectural fork
ends, and the cable is tensioned by simultaneous rotation of the studs. This system has
the advantage of being symmetrical, aesthetically pleasing and fully adjustable.
Cable System GC241/4
Swaged fork with standard tensioner
The simple single point tension
system. One end is terminated with a standard swaged fork and the other with a swaged stud
screwing into a standard tensioner. The system has the advantage that it can be tensioned
from one end only by rotating the tensioner body with no need to rotate the cable.
Cable System GC341/4
Swaged toggle fork with standard tensioner
Toggle single point tension
system. One end is terminated with a swaged toggle fork and the other with a swaged stud
screwing into a standard toggle tensioner. This system can be tensioned from one end only
by rotating the tensioner body with no need to rotate the cable. The toggle fork allows
articulation in two planes which reduce the need for complex connecting brackets and
fixings
Cable System GC241
Swaged fork with in-line tensioner GC297
A single point tension system.
Both ends are terminated with a standard swaged fork and within the length swaged studs
are screwed into a standard in-line tensioner. The system has the advantage in that
it is tensioned from one point only and if positioned in the middle of the tie length
provides a symmetrical tension system.
