Projects using Great Circle Rigging Stainless Steel components

Some of our major projects include: Rotherhithe Tunnel Footbridge, Aldercastle London, International House London, The Helicon London, River & Rowing Museum Henley, Telecom Mast Ireland, Science Museum London, Montevetro Building London, Jubilee Line, Millennium Dome, Luton Parkway Station, HMS Warrior, Regents Place London, North Terminal Gatwick Airport, Nottingham Ice Rink, Reigate Grammar School, Luton Airport, Gresham School Norfolk, Cellular Operation Swindon and Butlins Holiday Camps.

Underground car park entrance, Regents Place, London

This was a project where a light and airy support, needing no maintenance, was required. This was achieved by using 10mm dia 1 x 19 stainless steel wire with our GC265/264-10 adjustable swage forks.

The final effect was a tunnel of refreshing greenery created by a canopy of trailing plants to cover the entrance to an underground ramp of the car park.

Rotherhithe Tunnel Footbridge, London

The Rotherhithe Tunnel Footbridge was designed to complement the adjacent modern buildings in this area. The project called for the use of stainless steel bars requiring no maintenance to support both above, below, and underneath the bridge.

SS Bars with adjustable forks

The effect produced was an attractive view both for the motorists passing underneath and also for the pedestrians using the bridge. This was achieved by using various diameters from the stainless steel bar range with our GC465/464 LH & RH threaded adjustable forks.

International House, St Katherines Way, London

The canopy for International House is supported by stainless steel bars with threaded adjustable forks. It is both structural and architecturally functional because the tendons are mainly in tension but they also help to counteract uplift. This is a typical example of how modern materials can be used alongside ancient and historic buildings.
